Asset Management (AM)

Introduction
The module is part of the Cash Management cluster which provides for module superseding functionality relating to stock and asset movements, accounting and query & reporting facilities. AM contains integrated asset tracking and stock views. Assets are for example ATM ink cassettes; any valuable item with a maintenance requirement.

Business Context
The whereabouts of assets (like ATM ink cassettes) and the preventive and corrective maintenance processes are a relevant business issue for asset owners like banks. At any given time the stock positions are assets in circulation must be known, so the owner can optimize the usage of assets. The maintenance process integration and the tracking data per asset is crucial for complete management.

Description
The functionality includes the registration of all allocated assets such as ink cassettes with a link to a barcode. The management of the asset maintenance process including maintenance planning and engineers to perform the maintenance is included. A complete view on asset stock positions across the supply chain provides the management information.

The scanning of assets within a cash centre is included in the functionality of the module. By scanning an asset within the counting process, the module will alert the user to take an asset from circulation for preventive maintenance.
