Fleet Management (FM)

Introduction
The module is part of the Backend Logistics cluster which provides management of the all the elements relating to all cash centre operations and the CIT logistic functions both in the field and at branch level. FM covers the management and real-time planning of all the physical routes and navigation thereof in a dynamic fashion. All data registered around vehicle usage is made visible for management.

Business Context
The management of vehicle efficiency and usage is important for a CIT business in order to make the best usage of the fleet. The dynamic planning option available is able to schedule an ad-hoc order to the nearest vehicle.

Description
This 3rd party module by Scope Technology embraces the entire process relating to fleet management, which includes vehicle tracking, route planning, and vehicle remote control capabilities eg. Lock/unlock, immobilizer etc. The Black box is situated in the vehicle with real-time connection to central office. This allows for dynamic planning of ad hoc orders using real-time route information, security features using geo-fencing, and remote control of the vehicle. The module integrates with the Route Management and Route Handling modules.
